Tawni Edwards

Tawni, began performing professionally at the age of 14 and has never looked back. A graduate of the University of Arizona, she holds a BFA in dance performance and choreography. She also attended the Oklahoma City University to study Dance Management and the University of London for Theatre Studies on the West End.

Working as a dancer, singer, aerialist, stunt woman, actress, choreographer, dance captain, company manager and swing, her professional experience includes a wide variety of venues including: regional theatre, concert dance, theme park, cruise ship, industrial, casino, film and television. Most recently she wrapped filming of the June 2012 musical film, "Rock of Ages" (Directed by Adam Shankman and Choreographed by Mia Michaels).

Tawni has taught and choreographed nationally for several schools including Broadway Dance Center in New York City, NY where she was the assistant to Malin Zaki. Assistant Choreographer for "Once Upon A Mattress" (OCU) and workshop assistant to Josh Bergasse for the Phoenix Productions national tour of "Fame". As a student and performer she has also had the opportunity to work with notable artists such as: Tap Masters: (Cholly Atkins, Honi Coles, Buster Brown, Jimmy Slyde, Brenda Buffalino}, Paige Price (Anything Goes), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Rock of Ages) and countless talented choreographers and dancers.

Some of her favorite roles are (Charity) "Anything Goes", (Minnie/Francisca) "West Side Story", (Claire) "The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue", (Marion) "Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular" and ensemble roles in "Guys and Dolls", "Annie Get Your Gun" and the Swing for "Wonderland" (Harrah's, Reno).

Tawni's love for aerial arts has brought her to the Metro Movement & Aerial Arts family where she is grateful to have found such a supportive working and performance environment with Metropolis Productions and Aerial Adreneline. She is excited for the opportunity to pass on her life experience to fellow performers and subsequently increase as an artist from people she may have the good fortune to work with.
